For Southern California pet lovers,this weekend's America's Family Pet Expo at the Orange County Fairgrounds promises to be a treat. The event,which takes place from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday,bills itself as the world's largest pet and pet product exposition and has been held annually for 20 years.
Demonstrations,vendors,adoptable pets and just-for-fun guests like Tyson the skateboarding bulldog and the Splash Dogs will all be on hand. And fanciers of just about any pet species you can think of will be represented: dogs,cats,birds,reptiles,fish,llamas,guinea pigs and hamsters. The Family Pet Expo,as its name suggests,caters to children as well as adults; kids' activities include pony rides,an aquarium decorating contest and a petting zoo. Cost is $12 for general admission,$10 for adults over age 60 and $6 for children aged 6-12. Children 5 and younger enter free. Pets are asked to stay home.

National Capital Cat Show
