Why is there a Great Iowa Pet Expo?
The mission of the Great Iowa Pet Expo is to promote the health and well-being of Iowa's companion animals; to educate Iowa pet owners on the importance of spaying, neutering, and regular veterinary care; and to encourage pet ownership as a lifetime commitment. May I Bring My Pet?
For safety reasons, only well-trained, well-behaved adult pets are allowed to attend the Great Iowa Pet Expo. Please leave your younger pets at home! Puppies will be turned away at the door.
Please make sure your adult pet is on a short leash (6 foot maximum, no retractable leashes.).
All pets are required to be accompanied by a Critter Release Form that you will be required to fill out at the gate. All pets in attendance must be current on shots. Any unruly or threatening pet will be asked to leave. Thanks in advance for your cooperation!
The most adorable thing I've seen so far today.
I fostered a Staffy Bull named Irene. She ended up with a young family who had a 18 month old. A year later at Chicagoland Family Pet Expo, the family (with a new baby also) came specifically to our booth to show us pictures of Irene (now called Bridget) sleeping on the couch with the now 2-1/2 year old. It makes it all worth it to see them finally happy.
