Equine Affaire will offer a wealth of opportunities to research and appreciate a tremendous variety of horse breeds and registries. Dozens of horse breeds and registries with origins in North America, Europe, and beyond will be showcased in the Breed Pavilion in the Voinovich Center and the Horse & Farm Exhibits area located in the Gilligan Complex.
The Breed Pavilion will be a great place to network with horse owners; research breeds; learn about national, regional, and local breed associations and their activities; and find out about horses for sale. Association representatives will be on hand to provide helpful information and answer questions about their breeds and horses, and equines from miniatures to drafts and from stock horses to sport horses will be on exhibit and presented in hand for your consideration. Under saddle demonstrations of the breeds featured in the Breed Pavilion will also be conducted throughout the weekend in the main clinic arenas, offering attendees a chance to evaluate the conformation, characteristics, and aptitudes of horses of different breeds.
The Horse & Farm Exhibits in the Gilligan Complex will feature displays by individual horse farms, stables, and training and breeding facilities from throughout the Midwest. This exhibit area will provide great opportunities to network with horse owners, trainers, and facility managers about horses for sale, stallions at stud, training services, and boarding facilities for a wide variety of breeds and disciplines.

How is the Mn Horse expo?
I wanted to go the big azz world horse expo and didn't make it (yet). I did manage to go to the Peruvian Paso Nationals in Tx, years ago. It was a blast!!!! I still have a T shirt from it. I refuse to throw it out. lol.
A few hundred years ago I went to the Kansas City Royal. :D
No I didn't go to ride, I was totally a spectator. It was a good thing, I'd have fell off a lot due to all my rubber necking.
I know of one place you might be
Able to volunteer.
Have you ever attended the MN Horse Expo? It is held every year (3rd weekend in April) at the MN State Fairgrounds.
One year, I volunteered to walk horses for the children's pony rides. It just consisted of walking around and around, leading a horse with kids on them.
This would at least give you an opportunity to meet some other horse-centric people. Express your interest in volunteering, and get to know some people in the horse world.
I can find you a link if you are interested?
