Gates open Thursday evening March 20 for an extensive run of equine entertainment, education and enjoyment, at the Linn County Fair & Expo in Albany Oregon. Always a winner for participants and spectators, the Northwest Horse Fair and Expo is a long running Northwest tradition, providing family fun and performances with horses, plus top-notch educational opportunities! This year the horse festival will feature fantastic fan favorites, side by side with new, innovative talent!
The Northwest Horse Fair highlights top-notch clinicians, trainers and instructors, giving educational demonstrations, workshops and clinics. Headlining the star-studded list of presenters will be Chris Cox, providing Chris Cox Horsemanship/Horse Training; plus Eitan Beth-Halachmy featuring Cowboy Dressage; Raye Lochert offering General Training/Horsemanship clinics; Peggy Cummings teaching Connected Riding®; Janet 'Dolly' Hannon conducting Dressage clinics; Scot Hansen and Sandy Siegrist presenting HorseThink; Mitch and JoLinn Hoover offering Competition Strategies for Mountain Trail & All Breed Challenge and a Versatility Ranch & Stock Horse clinic; and Muffy Seaton providing Driving clinics.
When gates open at 5pm March 20, world champion competitors Mitch and JoLinn Hoover will feature a clinic that's perfect for rugged trail and versatility competitors. Exhibiting their years of expertise, the Hoovers will present Competition Strategies for Mountain Trail & the All Breed Challenge. Immediately following the Hoovers' clinic will be Round 1 of the All Breed Challenge. This will be the first opportunity for spectators to root for their favorite contestant, as excitement builds toward the Final Competition, held Sunday morning.
How is the Mn Horse expo?
I wanted to go the big azz world horse expo and didn't make it (yet). I did manage to go to the Peruvian Paso Nationals in Tx, years ago. It was a blast!!!! I still have a T shirt from it. I refuse to throw it out. lol.
A few hundred years ago I went to the Kansas City Royal. :D
No I didn't go to ride, I was totally a spectator. It was a good thing, I'd have fell off a lot due to all my rubber necking.

Have you ever attended the MN Horse Expo? It is held every year (3rd weekend in April) at the MN State Fairgrounds.
One year, I volunteered to walk horses for the children's pony rides. It just consisted of walking around and around, leading a horse with kids on them.
This would at least give you an opportunity to meet some other horse-centric people. Express your interest in volunteering, and get to know some people in the horse world.
