CELEBRITY GUESTS, DEMONSTRATIONS & ACTIVITIES AWAIT GENERAL PUBLIC AT FREE 10TV HEALTH & FITNESS EXPO ON AUGUST 20-21
Fitness expert Richard Simmons, reality star “Boston Rob” Mariano, free health screenings, health-focused seminars and more await the public at the second annual 10TV Health & Fitness Expo on August 20-21 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the SMG-managed Greater Columbus Convention Center.
“The second annual 10TV Health and Fitness Expo will be bigger and better than ever. One new thing is the Commit to be Fit application for iPad devices. We will also debut the new 10TV.com at the expo in the new Internet Café outside the 10TV booth at the expo, ” said 10TV President and General Manager Tom Griesdorn. “As we’ve said all along, the 10TV Health and Fitness Expo is two days that could change your life!”
Reality television personality “Boston Rob” Mariano of “The Amazing Race” and winner of “Survivor Redemption Island” will talk Saturday at 2 p.m. about his preparation for these competitions. Health and fitness expert Richard Simmons will be on the Donate Life Demonstration Stage on Sunday at 1 p.m., while Jared Fogle, also known as Jared the Subway Guy, will also appear on Sunday’s schedule.
Recently added to the program is actor Matt Underwood, who has appeared in “Zoey 101, ” “Casper Scare School” and the television show “Avatar: The Last Airbender.” He will appear in the outdoor education area of the Kids Expo both days of the expo.
New this year is the 97.1 The Fan Kids Sports and Fitness Pavilion featuring activities to encourage physical fitness among youth. The area will include inflatable attractions, a “Miracles At Play” initiative featuring safe playground mulch and equipment, representatives from professional sports teams, bowling and putt-putt golf.
Kids can even see what it is like to be a meteorologist by presenting their own weather forecast.
Co-anchors Andrea Cambern and Jerry Revish and the entire 10TV News HD team will meet and greet viewers.
The expo will include:

The Greater Columbus Convention Center, located in downtown Columbus, hosted an estimated 2.5 million visitors in 2010. The facility is owned by the Franklin County Convention Facilities Authority and is managed by Philadelphia-based SMG.

So, I volunteered to man a table for 9 hours today at the wholistic health expo and my co-volunteer was someone I had never met before. (We were promoting our candidate for prez. 'Politics at a holistic fair?' you ask in a perplexed tone, perhaps tilting your head to convey puzzlement. "Yes, a candidate for prez who is an advocate for 'health freedom' and legalizing hemp and weed" I say back).
ANYHOO, As we are pulling out literature, I see she pulls out some "Weston A Price" booklets with her name stamped on the bottom.
