The Melbourne Gardening Australia Expo, October 1- 3rd to be held at the Caulfield Racecourse, Caulfield offers a wealth of knowledge, practical know-how and interactive features including specialty areas for organics, sustainability, small spaces and creating a garden oasis.

Small space solutions

If you long to create your garden oasis but feel restricted by lack of space then Inner City Gardening is for you. This feature will show you how to create that green sanctuary in town houses, terraces or apartments using vertical gardens, easy care plants, innovative storage and integrated furniture.

Go organic

Get in the know about all things organic at The Organic Circle where you'll see stage demonstrations from personalities from ABC TV's Gardening Australia on the complete cycle of sustainable vegetable growing: Compost, Cultivate and Control.

Get your hands dirty

Get involved in The Potting Shed as ABC TV's Gardening Australia personalities lead this display that calls on a member of the audience for hands-on participation. Here you will learn the fundamentals of key gardening skills such as propagating from seed, roots or cuttings; grafting; repotting; tool maintenance and selection; pruning and transplanting.

Hop, wag, wiggle, creep

The new Backyard Creatures feature will provide information on how to best handle the variety of animals that co-exist in your garden. See how animals such as lizards, bees and chickens can be a productive addition to the home garden.

As people are heading inside to play with electronic games and gadgets. Get inspired to bring the excitement back outside with some jumbo sized entertainment. The new Backyard Games feature will show you how to make games like supersized chess part of your outdoor lifestyle.

The Cooking Stage is the perfect place to learn how to take the fruits (and vegies too!) of your garden labours to the table. Well we've got the answer! The Ask It Solve It Stage will provide an intimate environment for visitors to have all those niggling garden questions answered. The Q&A panel style format will feature ABC TV's Gardening Australia program presenters ready and willing to tackle questions and give advice on gardening topics.

Get the most out of the Expo by keeping the kids happy. Children will be kept entertained throughout the day with fun activities and daily appearances by popular characters from ABC for Kids TV programs including Dirt Girl and Jimmy Giggle. There are two Home & Garden Expo Centers in the metro Phoenix area. Both are open 7 days per week, except on holidays.
